This early mainline locomotive was adapted for use in the woods.  It required a more substantial roadbed and track than normally used in the woods during the 1800's and into the 1900's.

This logging railroad was operated by the Coal Creek Logging & Timber Company of Cosmopolis, Washington, with its operation mainly in the area of the Aberdeen/Grays Harbor and Montesano regions.
