Small sawmills such as the one in this painting are a thing of the past. This mill was located on the coast of Oregon.
The Wigwam burner shown to the right in this painting was used to burn sawmill waste. As the demand for wood fiber has increased and the environmental conscious community expanded, the need for these burners has disappeared.
