In all of creation life begins and life ends - a continuous cycle. This scene shows a doe and her fawn in a coastal forest of Oregon standing among other forms of life, new and old.
Trees also join this cycle of life whether they die of natural causes or through man's harvest. Trees, along with other green plants, help purify the air by replacing carbon dioxide with oxygen. We need our forests like never before, and we need to manage them wisely.
The professional forester recognizes the responsibility as a good steward of the living as well as the dying; making sure that trees are planted after harvest or disaster so that the cycle of life may continue.
