In times past the family Christmas tree came directly from the forest, or as in this scene, from Granddad's Tree Farm. A man and his son or, many times, the entire family, would go into the forest in search of their "perfect" Christmas tree.
Today, more than 90 percent of Christmas trees are plantation-grown. Over 35 million American families will bring a natural Christmas tree into their homes to help create a warm, friendly setting for their Christmas celebration.
